Every quarter we send out a newsletter that's full of resources and information about upcoming events and workshops. Sign up below to get this newsletter in your inbox!
My Family’s Village currently has limited resources such as a bi-weekly blog, girl scouts, and a quarterly newsletter. This upcoming year, we plan to continue with these resources and add on more. These resources may include a cub scout troop, a parenting support group, care packages, and a homeschool program. Like girl scouts, cub scouts will be for our young boys who we want to help teach how to be respectable men. In addition, Ms. Marissa intends to help parents become better parents by discussing parenting challenges with other parents who encounter similar parenting battles. As a single parent, I understand what other single mothers go through.
As a former case manager, Ms. Marissa has seen many families not have necessities. To help families combat this, she wants to gather personal hygiene and household items. My Family's Village will set these items aside for those families to help with their basic needs. Since the pandemic started, many families have started homeschooling their children, some of whom have chosen virtual options. My Family's Village hopes to create a homeschooling program to help children maintain social activities. If there is an activity you want to have but do not see on our website or something not listed within this newsletter, please reach out to us to see how we can help. We would love to be a part of any upcoming activities you are planning to accommodate the request.
