Why We Do It

My Family's Village was born to provide parents with the resources they need to become better parents and improve their family’s quality of life. Based on the personal experiences of our founder and team, Family’s Village provides financial, educational, physical, and mental support to parents in Hammond, Indiana, who lack the resources and knowledge to take care of their kids and, most importantly, to take care of themselves. 


My Family’s Village serves the seventy-six thousand nine hundred eighty-four residents of Hammond, Indiana.

 Our long-term goal is for My Family’s Village to become a caregiver resource center for all the families in the Hammond, Indiana, community. In the next 3 years, we will build our resource center to host our school and daycare, social services center, and space for our community to enjoy and grow.
